• REGISTRATION FOR THE CAMPOUT IS FREE.
  Sign up now for an information packet.
• BUT....ONLY 23 CAMP SPACES, SO YOU NEED TO REGISTER EARLY TO GET A CAMPSITE. ONCE WE SEE THAT THERE ARE NO MORE CAMPSITES WE WILL MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT.
  Registration for these sites open 6 months in advance 
  Meaning you can reserve your site on March 25TH
  
• YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RESERVING YOUR OWN CAMP SITE, AND HAVING A STATE PARKS PASSES OR EXTRA VEHICLE FEES.(LIMIT 2 CARS PER SITE) Colorado residents may have already gotten their parks pass when they renewed their registrations. 
• AND YOU BETTER HAVE A CO FISHING LICENSE BUSTER! :)

We return this year to the "Arkansas River Headwaters Recreation Area". To change things up a little, we have a new campground selected this year too! 
Just 12 miles outside of Salida, CO. Hecla Junction Campground 

To Attend You will need to fill out the registration form below and we will send you details on how to reserve your camping space. Camping spaces are first come first served.
Once You Register We will send you a complete information packet by e-mail including  a suggested packing list.
Meals will be on your own but we are planning at least one night of pot luck around the fire. 
Water There is no potable water in the campground
Bring your own water or a way to filter from the river that is close by. 

Other Supplies The closest town is Salida, Co (12 miles) for any of those additional supplies and sundry items. 

On-Site Facilities There are tent and RV spaces, but no hookups, and there are primitive toilets but no potable water.

We Will be Fishing the Arkansas River and there are other tributaries in the area if you want to drive a short distance.
Our campground is a little off the beaten path but easily accessible.  A Colorado State Parks Pass will give you access to the Arkansas River all the way to Leadville on State lands.
