TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF:  "Long time tenkara fisherman enjoying this fun method of fishing since 2009/2010. Started as a customer and then became an early (1st actually) full time employee at Tenkara USA. When not fishing I enjoy using and collecting vintage computers and video game consoles. My YouTube channel is mostly all about my love of Retro-gaming and Retro Computers. I enjoy camping with my wife and being outdoors. I also enjoy driving (and working on if I have to) air-cooled Volkswagens. I own a 1967 VW Westfalia Camper Bus. Also Dad to 2 young pups as we speak and 3 more elderly cats. Forgot how much work having young dogs was and they are driving me to the crazy house! But I do love them still, but they are a handful!"

TENKARA HISTORY:  I started exploring it in 2009 and purchased my 1st Tenkara USA rod, the one everyone and their mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, own… The Iwana!

FAVORITE PLACES TO FISH:  I enjoy the many mountain streams of California. Love meadows high up to smaller creeks as they work their way down the mountain.

FAVORITE FLY: I am one of those “ONE Fly” tenkara guys. One pattern, 2 to 3 sizes, and that is all I ever fish, every day, every month, every year.

FAVORITE ROD:  Today it is the Tenkara USA Sato, though (soon)  it may switch to our new Tenkara USA Satoki that I had 1st hand design and creating of with the rest of the Tenkara USA team. We just introduced Satoki at the end of 2022.

FAVORITE FISH:  Smaller mountain stream Brook Trout

FAVORITE BOOK: "How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step by Step Procedures for the Complete Idiot"   ...I love the book for the fun cartoons, fun pictures, and the way the story is told by John Muir, the author

BEST TENKARA ADVICE:  Don’t over complicate tenkara... stop measuring… stop over analyzing… stop being so scientific about it… JUST DO and You Will Enjoy!
